Hearing Aid Discussion
As an independent clinic, we’re not owned by any hearing aid manufacturer or chain. That means our advice is completely unbiased—we recommend what’s truly right for you, with access to a wide range of options.
A Hearing Aid Discussion Appointment is designed to help you explore whether hearing aids are the right solution for your needs. During this appointment, we take the time to understand your lifestyle, hearing challenges, and identify listening goals. We discuss the benefits and limitations of hearing devices, different styles and technology options, and how they can enhance your daily quality of life.
We provide personalised recommendations based on your hearing test results, budget, and individual preferences. Our goal is to give you unbiased, evidence-based advice, ensuring you feel confident in your decision – whether that means moving forward with hearing aids or not.
We also cover pricing, maintenance, and ongoing support, and we’ll provide an unbundled quote so you have a clear understanding of what to expect. There’s no pressure – just an open, informative discussion to help you make the best choice for your hearing health.
We truly understand how important family support is. That’s why we make it a priority to involve your loved ones in the discussion process. Together, we’ll set realistic expectations and ensure you receive the best possible support, with your family by your side every step of the way. The fitting process will be across multiple sessions, following best practice protocols, and providing coaching to ensure successful rehabilitation.

Harken Audiology is also registered under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program to provide hearing care, including fully and partially subsidised hearing devices for eligible pensioners and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) card holders—including Gold Card holders and White Card holders with hearing loss as an accepted condition.
